Founder & Founding Pastor of Sojourn Church
After a powerful encounter with the Holy Spirit in 1982 at a James Robison gathering, Terry and his wife, Susan, were inspired to share what they had experienced. What started as a few friends gathering weekly in their home, birthed what is now Sojourn Church in Carrollton, Texas, in 1987.
When he asked the Lord who should be the Pastor of the new church, he heard “feed my sheep, shepherd my flock.” A student of the Word himself, Terry is a gifted teacher passionate about the unchanging truth of Jesus Christ. Terry is known for writing in his Bible until he can no longer read it, and his favorite book of the Bible is Ephesians.

What people are saying
In the years of sharing teachings to help other believers, we’ve had the pleasure of serving many followers of Christ. Here is what a few of them had to say….
I have been a Christian for a long time and have read many books, but reading The Cross is the Key, it was like revisiting this most crucial event in human history – with fresh eyes. I could see practical applications to the victory Jesus paid for on the Cross. Pastor Terry has a very natural way of explaining spiritual truths.
After hearing about the learning platform, I was inspired to use these courses as my personal bible study. I was so impacted by the way the bible was explained, I encouraged my sister to take the courses with me.
I have enjoyed reading the Advanced Foundation books. As a Pastor’s son, I’ve been a believer since a young age and am familiar with many of these concepts. I appreciate how the books are written in a simple yet profound and meaningful way, giving me a greater understanding of the Bible.
War in Israel, discussions about end times…let’s not get distracted from what God has called us to do and be right now. God’s Word never changes, but it is living and active. I believe John 10:10 is as relevant as ever and succinctly describes what we are facing as believers today. The thief does not…
44 Reading Text – Daniel 4 After King Nebuchadnezzar’s experience of seeing the power of the one true God in the fire, he makes a proclamation to the people about the greatness of God and His everlasting kingdom. Interestingly, God revealed that truth to him in an earlier dream, but he didn’t heed it until…
43 Reading Text – Daniel 3 God gave a pagan king a dream that expanded 700 years. In Daniel 2, we read the dream Daniel interpreted for Nebuchadnezzar, which described various kingdoms over this period. After Daniel was promoted, the king had an image built that was a self-portrait of himself. He then told all…
