Reading Text – Ephesians 3:14-21

In our last post, we talked about the mystery of the Kingdom of God and that it is God uses everyday people who are pursuing Him to reveal aspects of who He is.  By being kind and forgiving others, we demonstrate the Kingdom of God wherever we go.

In today’s passage, Paul is overwhelmed by the truth of the mystery and writes a prayer that benefits all believers.

For this reason, I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height – to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.  Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.  Amen.

You see, when we get a revelation of the truth that we get to demonstrate the Kingdom of God on earth, it makes us want to worship God the Father, who called you into His family and wants to grant us blessings based on His riches, not on our works or our performance, but simply because He loves us.

You see, when we get a revelation of the truth that we get to demonstrate the Kingdom of God on earth, it makes us want to worship God the Father, who called you into His family and wants to grant us blessings based on His riches, not on our works or our performance, but simply because He loves us.  The benefits are that we would be strengthened with might, which also means dunamis power – that is – dynamite power – through God’s Spirit, the Holy Spirit, in your inner man so that Christ may dwell in your heart through faith.  Wow, Christ in you – that is the hope of Glory – living out His call every minute of every day.

As Christ lives in us, we are firmly planted in God’s agape (unconditional) love.  Think about this – not only are we firmly planted in God’s love, but we also have the privilege of comprehending to the widest width and length and the tallest height of the love of Christ that surpasses any knowledge we have can be filled with the fullness of God.  How is that even possible?  With God, all things are possible.  He loves you and me so much and wants us to have a revelation of that love.  When we understand that – nothing can shake us.  The cares of this world are no match for God’s love.

I pray you will meditate on this truth this week.  Allow the Holy Spirit to reveal an even greater measure of God’s love.

  1. to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
I do appreciate the fact that we Share the blessing of glory outside the Church.
I DO see that passage states that “glory in the church”. I personally believe we should “be the church to the church and the unchurched! “They will know we are Christians by our love for one another”. The outside world will see the evidence of Christ in us, and be attracted to Christ!
Acts 4:13 testifies of Christ in Peter and John.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ANNOINTED TEACHING!
