Paul tells us, “But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all:” 1 Corinthians 12:7 The Message translation reads this way, “Each person is given something to do that shows who God is: Everyone gets in on it, everyone benefits. All kinds of things are handed out by the Spirit, and to all kinds of people!”
If you are a person, of any kind, you receive the gifts of spirit to be used to show who God is! That looks different for each person. But we do have illustrations from the passage in 1 Corinthians 12.
We are told there are gifts of wisdom, word of knowledge, discerning of spirits. These are known as Revelation gifts because in each one, something is understood that is not necessarily known in a situation. Have you ever been talking with someone and offer an idea that you knew wasn’t something that you would ordinarily have said? That would be an example of a revelation gift.
Everyone can operate in all of these gifts, because that is what they are – gifts from a loving heavenly Father
Just like Judas, our attempt to refute what we’ve done is to no avail. The only way of atonement is through Jesus Christ. It is His blood that is shed for the remission for all our sins. Jesus died once for all; so that we could be free once for all. Hebrews 10:12-14 tells us, “But this Man, after He offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.” Forever.
So, as we approach the remembrance of the resurrection of Christ, take the time to thank Him for what His crucifixion death, burial and resurrection means to you today. Share that good news with someone this week.
Let’s Pray
Lord, thank you for the gifts you’ve given to your children. I pray that you would help me to grow in each one so that I can be an ambassador for you to advance your kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. Amen!
Thanks for your blog, nice to read. Do not stop.
